-- THIS EVENT HAS FINISHED --
The Mid-Autumn Festival (aka Moon Festival here in the southern hemisphere) is one of the most significant and important holidays in the Chinese calendar and we figured, what better way to celebrate this time of the year than with a gathering of like-minded tea enthusiasts over tea and mooncakes. It's been a while since our last event and we've been anticipating bringing this event back, this time at our new Marrickville tea studio.
Brews of 4 different, high-grade teas will be paired with 4 types of mooncakes. Teas served will be a mix of different styles of teas (e.g. White, Green, Oolong, Black or Pu'erh teas), depending on what pairs best with the available mooncakes. We'll talk about the myths and legends that surround the Mid-Autumn Festival, chat about the teas being served and ponder the mysteries of life.
Two session times are available, one on Saturday and one on Sunday. We'll have a few additional surprises during the event as well, so don't miss out!
Note: Limited seating available (maximum 6 ppl per session). As we aim to showcase traditional style mooncakes, as well as more modern types, Mooncakes containing nuts, eggs and animal products may be served
