The area around Chaozhou city is famous for producing Dancong tea, a variety of Oolong that has approximately 18 different aroma sub-varieties, each with its own unique flavour and characteristics. The Dark Leaf (AKA Da Wu Ye) is classified as a floral type of Phoenix Dancong oolong tea.
Xue Pian AKA Winter Dancong
"Xue Pian" is Dancong Oolong tea that's been harvested and produced during the winter tea season. This particular xue pian sprouted a little later this winter season and the tea was only finished in January 2023. But the wait was worth it. A wonderfully floral and aromatic Dancong Oolong that's worth jumping on it if you’re a fan of aromatic, Oolong teas.
TASTING NOTES
A well balanced tea with a light floral aroma that opens up to reveal a sweet fruity flavour. The rich, buttery smooth texture helps leave a lingering floral after-taste with a hint of fruitiness on your palate.

STORAGE
Proper tea storage is super important. Improper storage leads to flat, flavourless and potentially weird tasting tea. So as a rule of thumb, keep your tea leaves in an airtight container (the less air inside the better) and away from heat, light, moisture and strong odours.
